Infopat.-El presidente del Instituto Nacional de la Propiedad Industrial (INPI), Dámaso Alejandro Pardo, renunció a su cargo.
La información proveniente de fuentes del nuevo gobierno aseguraron que Pardo decidió abandonar su puesto luego del cambio de gobierno producido el 10 de diciembre, fecha de finalización de su mandato.
El abogado, quien está siendo investigado por el mal desempeño en sus funciones como presidente del INPI, no podrá ejercer la actividad de agente de la propiedad industrial al menos por 2 años a partir de la fecha de su renuncia según la normativa legal vigente an Argentina.. Pardo tenía al momento de asumir su cargo en junio de 2016 al menos 2500 marcas y 200 patentes tramitadas en el INPI, motivo por el cual debió suspender su matrícula de agente del estudio PAGBAM, en el que trabajo por 20 años como socio de José Alfredo Martínez de Hoz (hijo).
El renunciante presidente de INPI contínúa sin embargo como candidato por el país a elecciones para director general de OMPI a realizarse en marzo de 2020.Ante la salida, y en su reemplazo para la firma, el organismo queda actualmente a cargo de su vice-presidenta, al menos hasta que sea reemplazada por el nuevo gobierno.
